If you only read one book about the fundamentals of running an agency, then Spencer Gallagher and Peter Hoole’s Agencynomics should be it (apart from The KitchenTable Method of course). Spencer and Pete are the UK’s godfathers of agency growth. Together they grew their tiny agency, BlueHalo, from Spencer’s mum’s shed into a world-beating behemoth, which they sold for millions. Now they advise other agencies how to do the same, via their consultancy Cact.Us and their not-for-profit venture Agencynomics. Even if you run a one-man band, you’ll find plenty in this book to put you on the fast track to stardom.
